Your account balance is the prepaid credit you have for making calls and using Sonafone services.
Sonafone uses a prepaid model—add credits first, then use them for calls and services.
Where to See Your Balance
- Dashboard — Prominently displayed at the top
- Billing page — Detailed view with transaction history
- Header — Always visible in the app header
How Calls are Charged
Calls are billed per minute based on:
| Factor | Description |
|---|---|
| Duration | Time rounded up to the nearest minute |
| Destination | Country and number type (mobile/landline) |
| Rate | Per-minute cost for that destination |
You'll see the rate before you dial, so there are no surprises.
What Uses Your Balance
- Call charges — Deducted immediately after each call
- Number subscriptions — Monthly fees for virtual numbers
- Other services — Any additional features you use
Low Balance Warnings
When your balance drops below $5:
- A warning appears in the app
- Calls may fail if balance is insufficient
- Number subscriptions could be affected
Keep at least $10-20 in your account to avoid interruptions. Set up auto top-up for peace of mind.
Tips for Managing Balance
- Enable auto top-up — Never run out of credits
- Check before important calls — Ensure sufficient balance
- Review transaction history — Track your spending
- Add larger amounts — Fewer transactions, always prepared
