Your billing history shows all transactions affecting your account balance. This guide explains how to view and understand your transaction history.
Accessing Billing History
You can view your billing history:
- Billing page: Go to Billing and scroll to Transaction History
- Dashboard: View recent transactions in the billing widget
- Mobile: Access via the Billing tab on mobile
Transaction Types
Your history includes several types of transactions:
Call Charges
- Description: Charges for calls you made
- Amount: Negative (deducted from balance)
- Details: Phone number, duration, rate, total cost
- Date: When the call was made
Top-Ups
- Description: Credits you added to your account
- Amount: Positive (added to balance)
- Details: Payment method, amount added
- Date: When the top-up occurred
Auto Top-Ups
- Description: Automatic credit additions
- Amount: Positive (added to balance)
- Details: Triggered by low balance, amount added
- Date: When auto top-up triggered
Phone Number Subscriptions
- Description: Monthly fees for virtual numbers
- Amount: Negative (deducted from balance)
- Details: Phone number, monthly subscription fee
- Date: When subscription was charged
Refunds
- Description: Credits returned to your account
- Amount: Positive (added to balance)
- Details: Reason for refund
- Date: When refund was processed
Understanding Transaction Details
Each transaction shows:
Basic Information
- Date and time: When the transaction occurred
- Type: Call, top-up, subscription, etc.
- Amount: Credit added or deducted
- Balance: Your account balance after the transaction
Call Details
For call charges, you'll see:
- Phone number: Number you called
- Duration: How long the call lasted
- Rate: Per-minute rate charged
- Total cost: Total amount deducted
- Call status: Completed, failed, etc.
Top-Up Details
For top-ups, you'll see:
- Amount added: Credits added to your account
- Payment method: How you paid
- Transaction ID: Reference number
- Status: Success, pending, failed
Filtering Transactions
You can filter your history by:
Transaction Type
- All: Show all transactions
- Calls: Only call charges
- Top-ups: Only credit additions
- Subscriptions: Only phone number fees
Date Range
- All time: All transactions
- This month: Current month only
- Last month: Previous month
- Custom range: Select specific dates
Search
- Phone numbers: Search by number called
- Transaction ID: Find specific transactions
- Keywords: Search transaction descriptions
Exporting Transaction History
You may be able to export your history:
- CSV format: Download as spreadsheet
- PDF format: Download as document
- Date range: Export specific periods
- Use cases: Accounting, expense tracking, records
Export functionality may vary. Check the Billing page for available export options.
Reading Your History
Positive Amounts
- Green or +: Credits added to your account
- Examples: Top-ups, refunds, auto top-ups
- Increases balance: Makes your balance go up
Negative Amounts
- Red or -: Credits deducted from your account
- Examples: Call charges, subscriptions
- Decreases balance: Makes your balance go down
Running Balance
- After each transaction: Shows your balance
- Helps track: See how balance changes over time
- Verify accuracy: Check that balances match
Common Transaction Patterns
Regular Users
- Daily calls: Multiple call charges per day
- Weekly top-ups: Regular credit additions
- Monthly subscriptions: Phone number fees
Business Users
- High call volume: Many call transactions
- Larger top-ups: Bigger credit additions
- Multiple subscriptions: Several phone numbers
Occasional Users
- Infrequent calls: Few call charges
- Periodic top-ups: Occasional credit additions
- Minimal subscriptions: Few or no phone numbers
Troubleshooting
Transaction missing?
- Check date range: Verify you're looking at the right period
- Refresh page: Reload to see latest transactions
- Check filters: Ensure filters aren't hiding the transaction
- Contact support: If transaction should be there
Wrong amount shown?
- Review details: Check transaction breakdown
- Check calculations: Verify math is correct
- Compare with call: Match with call history if applicable
- Contact support: If there's a discrepancy
Can't find a transaction?
- Try different filters: Change type or date range
- Search function: Use search to find it
- Check all pages: Transactions may be paginated
- Contact support: For assistance locating transactions
