Using the Dialer

The dialer is your main tool for making calls. Access it from the sidebar, dashboard quick actions, or the mobile navigation.

Entering Numbers

Type the number directly or use the dial pad. Always include the country code:

• US/Canada: +1 555 123 4567
• UK: +44 20 1234 5678
• Other: Check the appropriate country code

You can also call directly from your Contacts page—just click the call button next to any saved contact.

Selecting Caller ID

Choose which number appears on the recipient's phone:

1. Click the Caller ID dropdown
2. Select from:
   • Your default Sonafone number
   • Virtual numbers you've purchased
   • Verified personal numbers

Call Rates

Before dialing, you'll see:

• Per-minute rate for the destination
• Destination country flag
• Your current balance

Rates are calculated in real-time based on destination.

Making a Call

1. Enter the phone number
2. Select your caller ID
3. Click the green Call button
4. Allow microphone access if prompted

During the Call

Controls available while connected:

• Timer — Call duration
• Mute — Turn your mic on/off
• Keypad — Send tones (for IVR menus)
• End Call — Hang up

Troubleshooting

No audio?

• Check volume and speaker settings
• Verify microphone permissions in browser
• Try using headphones

Call won't connect?

• Check your balance
• Verify number format includes country code
• Ensure stable internet connection

Audio quality issues?

• Use wired internet if possible
• Close bandwidth-heavy apps
• Use headphones to reduce echo
