Welcome to Sonafone ("Service"), a cloud-based VoIP calling platform operated by Cosmo Suite LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
Please read these Terms carefully before using Sonafone. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using Sonafone, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Acceptable Use Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Service Description
Sonafone is a web-based Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calling platform that allows users to make voice calls to landline and mobile phone numbers worldwide. Our Service utilizes WebRTC technology through the Twilio Voice infrastructure.
Key Features
- Browser-Based Calling: Make calls directly from your web browser without downloading additional software
- Prepaid Balance System: Add funds to your account and pay only for what you use
- Virtual Phone Numbers: Purchase dedicated phone numbers to use as your caller ID
- Verified Caller ID: Verify and use your own phone numbers as caller ID
- Call Recording: Record calls for quality assurance and record-keeping purposes (where legally permitted)
- Workspaces: Collaborate with team members through shared workspaces
Eligibility
To use Sonafone, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a resident of the United States
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our sole discretion.
Account Registration and Security
Account Creation
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these security obligations.
Billing and Payment
Prepaid Balance
Sonafone operates on a prepaid balance system. You must maintain a positive balance to make calls. Key terms:
- Minimum Top-Up: The minimum amount for adding funds is specified during the payment process
- Call Rates: Rates vary by destination and are displayed before you initiate each call
- Billing Increment: Calls are billed in one-minute increments with a minimum charge of one minute per call
- No Refunds on Used Balance: Funds used for completed calls are non-refundable
Virtual Number Subscriptions
Virtual phone numbers are billed as monthly subscriptions:
- Subscriptions automatically renew each month until canceled
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- Upon cancellation, the phone number is released and cannot be recovered
- Failed payments may result in immediate suspension of the phone number
Payment Processing
All payments are processed through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred. You agree to Stripe's terms of service for payment processing.
Refund Policy
Please refer to our Refund Policy for detailed information about refunds and cancellations.
Free Trial
New users may be eligible for a free trial period. Trial terms:
- Trial minutes are provided at our discretion and may be modified or discontinued at any time
- Trial calls are subject to the same usage restrictions as paid calls
- Trial minutes cannot be transferred, sold, or converted to cash
- Abuse of the trial system may result in account termination
Acceptable Use
Your use of Sonafone is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful, abusive, or prohibited purpose.
Prohibited Activities
Without limiting the Acceptable Use Policy, you specifically agree NOT to:
- Make calls to emergency services (911) through Sonafone
- Engage in any form of harassment, threats, or abusive behavior
- Spoof caller ID for fraudulent or deceptive purposes
- Use the Service for telemarketing without proper consent
- Violate any applicable telecommunications regulations
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
Emergency Services Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: SONAFONE DOES NOT SUPPORT 911 OR OTHER EMERGENCY SERVICE CALLS.
Sonafone is not a replacement for traditional telephone service and cannot be used to contact emergency services. You must maintain an alternative means of contacting emergency services. Please review our 911/E911 Disclaimer for complete information.
By using Sonafone, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You understand Sonafone cannot be used to call 911 or other emergency services
- You will maintain alternative means of accessing emergency services
- You will inform others who may use your device of this limitation
- We are not liable for any damages resulting from the inability to contact emergency services through our Service
Caller ID and Phone Number Use
Caller ID Display
When making calls through Sonafone, your caller ID may be displayed as:
- The shared Sonafone number (default)
- A virtual phone number you have purchased
- A verified phone number you own
Caller ID Verification
To use your own phone number as caller ID, you must verify ownership through our verification process. You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have authorization to use any phone number you verify
- You will not use caller ID for deceptive or fraudulent purposes
- You will comply with all applicable caller ID laws and regulations
Virtual Phone Numbers
Virtual phone numbers purchased through Sonafone are subject to:
- Monthly subscription fees
- Geographic availability restrictions
- Regulatory requirements of the number's jurisdiction
- Our Acceptable Use Policy
Call Recording
Sonafone may offer call recording features. If you use call recording:
- You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable recording consent laws
- You must obtain consent from all parties to a call where required by law
- We are not responsible for your failure to comply with recording laws
- Recordings are stored in accordance with our Privacy Policy

Intellectual Property
Our Intellectual Property
Sonafone, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Cosmo Suite LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without permission
- Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without written consent
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you create or upload to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use your content solely for providing the Service.
Third-Party Services
Sonafone utilizes third-party services to provide our calling infrastructure. By using Sonafone, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of our third-party providers:
- Twilio: Our calling infrastructure is powered by Twilio. Your use of Sonafone is also subject to Twilio's Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
- Stripe: Payment processing is handled by Stripe, subject to Stripe's Terms of Service.
Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, including:
- Account information
- Call metadata and records
- Payment information
- Usage data
We also maintain a CPNI Policy regarding your Customer Proprietary Network Information as required by federal law.
Service Availability and Modifications
Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance
- System upgrades
- Technical issues or emergencies
- Factors beyond our control
Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through:
- Email notification to your registered address
- Prominent notice on the Service
- In-app notifications
Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Termination
Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Contacting support at support@sonafone.com
- Using the account deletion feature in your settings
Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will be revoked
- Any remaining prepaid balance may be forfeited (see Refund Policy)
- Virtual phone numbers and subscriptions will be canceled
Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you:
- Breach these Terms or any of our policies
- Engage in fraudulent, illegal, or abusive activity
- Fail to pay any amounts due
- Pose a security risk to the Service or other users
Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
- We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content
- Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation
- Results obtained from use of the Service
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will meet your requirements
- The Service will be available at all times
- Call quality will meet any specific standard
- Any errors will be corrected
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COSMO SUITE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of profits, revenue, or data
- Business interruption
- Personal injury or property damage
- Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service
- Any damages arising from unauthorized access to your account
- Any damages arising from third-party conduct
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cosmo Suite LLC, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Arbitration Agreement
Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules. The arbitration shall take place in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive your right to participate in class actions or class arbitrations.
Exceptions
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights.
General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and other incorporated policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cosmo Suite LLC regarding the Service.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or government actions.
