Learn how to manage your account settings, including profile information, email, phone, and password changes.

Your account settings let you manage your personal information, security preferences, and account details. This guide covers all the account settings available in Sonafone.
Accessing Account Settings
To access your account settings:
- Click Settings in the sidebar navigation
- Select Account from the settings menu
- Or go directly to Settings → Account
Profile Information
Updating Your Name
To change your name:
- Go to Settings → Account
- Find the Name field
- Enter your new name
- Click Save to update
Your name appears in your profile and may be visible to workspace members (if applicable).
Profile Picture
To update your profile picture:
- Go to Settings → Account
- Find the Profile Picture section
- Click Upload or Change
- Select an image file
- Crop or adjust if needed
- Click Save to update
Profile pictures help identify you in workspaces and team features.
Email Address
Changing Your Email
To update your email address:
- Go to Settings → Account
- Find the Email field
- Enter your new email address
- Click Save or Update Email
- Verify the new email address (check your inbox)
Changing your email requires verification. You'll receive a confirmation email at the new address.
Email Verification
After changing your email:
- Check inbox: Look for verification email
- Click link: Verify your new email address
- Complete verification: Follow the instructions
- Login: Use new email to log in
Your old email will work until verification is complete. After verification, use the new email to log in.
Phone Number
Updating Phone Number
To change your phone number:
- Go to Settings → Account
- Find the Phone Number field
- Enter your new phone number (include country code)
- Click Save to update
Your phone number is optional but useful for account recovery and verification.
Phone Verification
Some features may require phone verification:
- Account recovery: Verify phone for password reset
- Two-factor authentication: If enabled
- Verified caller IDs: For using your number as caller ID
Password Management
Changing Your Password
To update your password:
- Go to Settings → Account → Security
- Find the Password section
- Click Change Password
- Enter your current password
- Enter your new password (twice for confirmation)
- Click Save to update
Use a strong, unique password. Don't reuse passwords from other accounts.
Password Requirements
Your password must meet:
- Minimum length: Typically 8+ characters
- Complexity: Mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
- Uniqueness: Not used in other accounts
- Strength: Strong password recommended
Forgot Password?
If you forgot your password:
- Go to the Sign In page
- Click Forgot Password
- Enter your email address
- Check your email for reset link
- Follow instructions to set new password
Security Settings
Two-Factor Authentication
If available, you can enable 2FA:
- Go to Settings → Account → Security
- Find Two-Factor Authentication
- Click Enable
- Follow setup instructions
- Verify with code from authenticator app
Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account.
Login History
View your recent logins:
- Recent sessions: See where and when you logged in
- Device information: Browser and location details
- Active sessions: Currently active login sessions
- Sign out: Sign out of specific sessions if needed
Account Preferences
Notification Settings
Configure how you receive notifications:
- Email notifications: Enable/disable email alerts
- In-app notifications: Control in-app notifications
- Notification types: Choose what you want to be notified about
Language and Region
Set your preferences:
- Language: Choose your preferred language
- Timezone: Set your timezone
- Date format: Preferred date display format
- Currency: Currency for displaying amounts
Account Deletion
Deleting Your Account
To delete your account:
- Go to Settings → Account
- Scroll to Danger Zone or Account Deletion
- Click Delete Account
- Confirm deletion (this is permanent)
- Follow final confirmation steps
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All data will be permanently deleted.
Before Deleting
Before deleting your account:
- Export data: Download any data you want to keep
- Cancel subscriptions: Cancel any active subscriptions
- Use remaining balance: Spend or transfer remaining credits
- Backup contacts: Save important contact information
Troubleshooting
Can't change email?
- Verify current email: Ensure you can access current email
- Check new email: Verify new email is correct
- Check spam: Look for verification email in spam folder
- Contact support: If verification email doesn't arrive
Password change not working?
- Verify current password: Ensure you're entering it correctly
- Check requirements: Ensure new password meets requirements
- Try again: Wait a moment and try again
- Contact support: If issues persist
Settings not saving?
- Check internet: Ensure you have a stable connection
- Refresh page: Reload and try again
- Clear cache: Clear browser cache if needed
- Contact support: If settings won't save

- Keep information current: Update email and phone regularly
- Strong password: Use a unique, strong password
- Enable 2FA: Add extra security if available
